{"id":795,"date":"2023-03-12T01:59:48","date_gmt":"2023-03-12T01:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bursucretleri.com\/blog\/?p=795"},"modified":"2023-03-23T08:42:24","modified_gmt":"2023-03-23T08:42:24","slug":"44-buzzworthy-marketing-interviews","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bursucretleri.com\/blog\/44-buzzworthy-marketing-interviews\/","title":{"rendered":"44 Buzzworthy Marketing Interviews"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019m a fan of interviews, but for all the wrong reasons.\u00a0 I enjoy the questions more than the responses.\u00a0 I also tend to analyze the reasons why the interview is taking place and what the motivation was for seeking out that specific person.\u00a0 In any case, the marketing and Web industry as a whole provides no shortage of interesting interviews in all possible formats.\u00a0 Text, video and audio all have pros and cons.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Text interviews:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pros:\u00a0<\/strong>SEO benefit, easily scanable, easy to copy-paste interesting bits, encourages conversations and responses in-kind (text begets text).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cons:<\/strong>\u00a0Everyone proofs their answers, and while people are in most cases genuine the fact remains we polish these.\u00a0 Also may lack emotion (but not necessarily, some writers exude it).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Video interviews:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pros:\u00a0<\/strong>Nice to see face to face, you can\u2019t fake your responses, emotion included.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cons:\u00a0<\/strong>They take time and focus to watch, takes skill to give them and make them compelling, hard to quote the interesting bits quickly to reblog\/share.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Audio interviews:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Pros:<\/strong>\u00a0Add to your iPod and throw in your car and your commute is good to go, or you can work and listen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cons:\u00a0<\/strong>Same problem as video \u2013 unless you count on people to transcribe, your words might not travel as far as the people listening.\u00a0 Also these take time to listen to \u2013 we read much faster than we can listen.<\/p>\n<p>From the perspective of the person consuming the content, to analyzing the most interesting questions, to understanding what makes for a compelling answer there are lessons in all directions.\u00a0 It\u2019s vital for PR pros and marketers alike to comprehend all elements and have a grasp on what makes for compelling interviews.<\/p>\n<p>With that said, instead of reading more from me today, I\u2019m sending you on a mission:\u00a0 explore some Q&amp;A\u2019s from around the web and learn what makes for the best interviews.\u00a0 I could share my insights on what makes for great (or not so great) interviews, but you wouldn\u2019t learn nearly as much as you will if you go through some samples and take notes for yourself:<\/p>\n<h3>44 Buzzworthy Marketing Interviews:<\/h3>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0Inside Seth Godin\u2019s Blogging Philosophy\u00a0(Ad Age)<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0\u00a0Austin Lifestyles SXSW 2009 Video: Blogging, Apps and Tech Trends\u00a0(Interview with Louis Gray)<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0\u00a0Twitter CEO Evan Williams Interviewed on Charlie Rose [Video]\u00a0(Mashable)<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0\u00a0Social Media Interview: Lee Aase of Mayo Clinic\u00a0(Online Marketing Blog)<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0\u00a0McCann NY on using Social Media\u00a0(Marketing.FM)<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0\u00a0Interview with Rae Hoffman AKA Sugarrae\u00a0(SEO Book)<\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0\u00a0The Truth About The Early Days of Digg\u00a0(Center Networks)<\/p>\n<p>8.\u00a0\u00a0Lee Odden on Social, SEO, Evolution &amp;
